What Happened to Austin City Limits?

Austin City Limits (ACL) began its journey in 1974 as a pioneering live music television program, conceived by Bill Arhos, Bruce Scafe, and Paul Bosner at PBS affiliate KLRN-TV (now Austin PBS). The pilot episode, famously featuring Willie Nelson, was taped on October 17, 1974, and the series officially premiered on PBS in 1975.
