Riyan Parag Das, born on November 10, 2001, emerged from Assam, a state not traditionally known as a cricketing powerhouse, to become one of India's most promising all-rounders. His cricketing journey began early, making his Twenty20 debut for Assam in 2017 at just 15, followed by his first-class debut later that year, making him India's first FC cricketer born in the 21st century. He was a part of India's victorious Under-19 World Cup squad in 2018.

Parag's entry into the Indian Premier League (IPL) came in 2019 when he was bought by the Rajasthan Royals. In his debut season, he became the youngest player to score an IPL fifty at 17 years and 175 days.
