What Happened to Sitcom Revivals?

NBC's 'Night Court' revival, which premiered in January 2023, also faced cancellation in May 2025 after three seasons due to declining viewership. However, all three seasons became available on Netflix in February 2026, offering a potential second life for the series, with speculation that Netflix might rescue it for additional seasons. Netflix's own 'That '90s Show', a sequel to 'That '70s Show', premiered in 2023 and released its second season in two parts in June and October 2024, but was subsequently canceled in 2024 due to low viewership, with attempts to shop it to other networks yielding no further news.
