Sophia Elizabeth Guevara Laforteza, born December 31, 2002, in Queens, New York, and raised in Manila, Philippines, embarked on her journey to global stardom through the highly competitive 'The Debut: Dream Academy' reality competition. Coming from an artistic family, with her mother being a stage actress and singer, Sophia had early exposure to the entertainment industry, including television appearances as a child and on 'Family Feud Philippines' in 2022.

In December 2021, Sophia was among the first contestants selected for the HYBE x Geffen Training & Development program, undergoing nearly two years of intensive training.
