Kitao Sakurai is directing the new movie, which began principal photography in August 2025 and features a star-studded cast including Noah Centineo as Ken, Andrew Koji as Ryu, Callina Liang as Chun-Li, David Dastmalchian as M. Bison, and Jason Momoa as Blanka. This new film, which reportedly takes a nostalgic approach set in the early 1990s and includes game-accurate moves and elements like the car-smashing bonus stage, is scheduled for release by Paramount Pictures on October 16, 2026.
