What Happened to Zachary Adam Ertz?

Zachary Adam Ertz, born November 10, 1990, established himself as one of the NFL's premier tight ends over a career spanning more than a decade. After a standout collegiate career at Stanford, where he earned Unanimous All-American honors in 2012, Ertz was selected by the Philadelphia Eagles in the second round (35th overall) of the 2013 NFL Draft. He quickly became a cornerstone of the Eagles' offense, known for his reliable hands and precise route running. His tenure in Philadelphia culminated in a Super Bowl LII victory in 2018 and three consecutive Pro Bowl selections from 2017 to 2019. In 2018, Ertz set an NFL record for most receptions in a single season by a tight end with 116, a record that stood until 2025.

In October 2021, after nine seasons with the Eagles, Ertz was traded to the Arizona Cardinals. He signed a three-year, $31.65 million extension with the Cardinals in March 2022.
